Church of Saint Nicholas in Amari
(1 Vote)

The province of Amari has a really large number of churches dedicated to Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos), as almost every village hosts one. Inside the residential area of the village of Nevs Amari there is the small single-nave arched church of Saint Nicholas.

The temple was decorated with frescoes since the middle of the 14th century, from which a few traces are preserved mainly in the sanctuary. Interesting is the wood-carved iconostasis with many carved details and colored objects (such as angels and snakes).
