Kakoperatos Gorge
(4 votes)

The imposing and wiold canyon Kakoperatos is located 10km south of Ahendrias village, on the eastern side of Asterousia Mountains. It starts its course from the location Apomoni, on the road that connects Achendrias to the monastery of Saint Nikitas and ends on the beach of Skiadaki. Its riverbed can only be accessed with technical canyoning equipment, as it forms 15m high waterfalls. Alternatively, one can overcome the difficult passages by avoiding the falls from the sides and walk down the gorge.
