A very interesting geological attraction is the rocks that resemble giant anthropomorphic figures in the Asterousia range. These figures, like marble gods that were worshiped in antiquity, even today dominate a ridge north of the village Paranymfi.
Lower Gorge (Kato Farangi) is located in the region of the village Mythi in the province Ierapetra. It is the last rocky part of the stream that runs through the river Myrtos or Kriopotamos.
Psilos Volakas is the most popular of the nearby beaches that you will find in the west, after the small Kalamia beach, about 1.5km west of Paleochora.

The Mavro Skiadi cave abyss is one of the most famous precipices in Crete, mainly because it has the highest known descent in Greece and one of the highest in the world. It is located in position Atzinolakkos at an altitude of 1600 meters in the heart of the White Mountains.
At the entrance to the village Limni in the province of Kissamos, near Elos, we meet a small beautiful pond from which the village takes its name (limni is lake in Greek). Paths with large wooden platforms have been formed around it.
In the valley of Amourgela, the church of Agia Kyriaki has been built, above a series of beautiful waterfalls. Access is possible via a bad dirt road.
