Sfakos is located between Menies and Kolymbari. It is one of the most isolated beaches in Crete, as access from land is possible, but very difficult. Almost exclusively, most people come to it by boat from nearby Kolymbari or other beaches near Chania.
On the eastern side of Vroulia Bay, between the magnificent Kedrodasos and the church of Agios Ioannis, near the cape of Krios, a series of small secluded beaches are formed where you will most likely be isolated. However, you should be aware that there are no trees and no natural shade.
Vraskos beach is located in a secluded location at the exit of a small gorge between Koutalis and Almyrida, in the vicinity of Kokkinos Chorio. The wider area is full of fantastic caves.
Limnionari or Agios Georgios beach is located in one of the most isolated areas of Crete. It is formed in a narrow bay at the exit of the Agios Georgios gorge, which starts south of the now deserted monastery of Saint George in Menies.
The waters of the entire area, and not only of Vyzaroplaka, are among the cleanest and clearest in Crete. The beach is protected from the summer meltemi and the westerly winds and almost never has waves.
Fylakas is a tiny beach at the base of the western side of Cape Fylakas of Tripiti in the Asterousia Mountains about 73 kilometers south of Heraklion and on the eastern border of the community of Miamou
Vala beach is located on the southeastern slopes of the Asterousia Mountains in a purely Cretan setting, with inaccessible gorges, bare rocks, steep cliffs and beautiful secluded beaches.
