Astropelekita beach
(3 votes)

On the E4 European trail that connects Sougia and Paleochora we meet the astonishing tiny beach with deep blue water of Astropelekita. We meet this sandy beach to the east of Plaka stony cape and before starting ascending to Flomes or Elide Cape for reaching ancient Lissos. This cove is a great chance to have a cooling bath while hiking the E4 trail.

The name Astropelekita means thunderbolt in Greek and is taken after a myth which tells that the local whitish rocks were formed after Olympian Gods threw a thunderbolt at the area.
