In the area of Kalo Chorio and between the beach of Pilos and Voulisma there is a small peninsula with olive groves, to which dirt roads lead. There is the small beach of Chartalamis Kolymbos, ideal for isolation, with a unique tree for shade.
The beach has pebbles, but unfortunately it is strongly affected by the summer north winds that carry garbage, as it is west-facing. Nevertheless, the seabed is worth exploring, especially on days when it is not particularly windy.
Chartalami in the Cretan dialect is the metal buckle of the bridle, shoe, belt, etc. and it is not excluded that the name comes from some shape of the geography of the area.
