Katevati is located 36 km east of Rethymno and 44 km west of Heraklion, near Bali and within the territory of the Sisses village. Approximately 500m. east of the church of Panagia Charakiani, the small peninsula and the islet of Peristeri are formed, where small beaches are formed. The Heraklion-Rethymno national road passes next to it.
In the eastern part of the peninsula there is the small beach of Katevati, which has sand and pebbles. It has the imposing Talaean Mountains as a backdrop and due to its eastern orientation it is almost always sheltered and without waves. The seabed, quite rocky, is ideal for fishing and snorkeling. It is not organized at all and has no natural shade from trees, so make sure to have the necessary things with you.
