Plakoures Beach at cape Kefali
(1 Vote)

A few meters southeast of the beautiful nudist beach of Psili Ammos in Vai, the tiny beach Plakoures in cape Kefali is formed.

The impressive formations of the rocks that are mainly composed of phyllites - quartzites create a unique coastal landscape with characteristic layers of rocks and caves. This impressive geosite has been designated as special by the UNESCO Geopark of Sitia.

Access is possible from the north of the beach, where a small stream descends on soft ground to the rocky sea. From there it will take a short swim of a few meters to the beach.
