Saint Paul Monastery at Paranimfi
(3 votes)

The former monastery of Saint Paul (Agios Pavlos), dating back from the 13-14th century, is located at the area of Paranimfi, near a spring. All around, we see traces of an ancient temple, which was looted.

The church is a basilica with single nave and there are traces of frescoes in the interior walls. The doorway is carved from limestone in the Venetian Era. At the south end of the monastery yard, at the site of a today's warehouse, there was the monk's cell.
