Cyclamen Gorge at Aletrouvari
(8 votes)

The Gorge of Cyclamen, Agios Georgios Gorge (Saint George) or Gorge Vandes is located at the north slopes of the White Mountains. It starts from the settlement Aletrouvari (altitude 300m), passes east of the village of Agios Georgios and ends at the village Vandes (altitude 50 m). The straam collects water from the area of Drakona and there are places where small ponds are formed.

The route is not suitable for beginners and needs about 2 hours from Aletrouvari  or 1 hour from Agios Georgios. The visitor meets very interesting landscape alterations along the river and under the shade of huge plane trees and cypresses
