Στο μέσο του δρόμου που ενώνει την Καλλιθέα με την Κνωσό, συναντάμε το έρημο μικρό οικισμό του Σελλόπουλου στις όχθες του ποταμού Καίρατου, γνωστό στους αρχαιολόγους από τον θολωτό τάφο που έχει εντοπιστεί εδώ. Κάτω και δίπλα από τον δρόμο είναι κτισμένη η λιτή και μονόχωρη εκκλησία της Αγίας Παρασκευής, η οποία φέρει κατεστραμμένες τοιχογραφίες που χρονολογούνται από την εποχή της Ενετοκρατίας.

Ο μεγάλος κοιμητηριακός ναός της Νεάπολης είναι δίκλιτος ναός αφιερωμένος στο Σωτήρα Χριστό και στους Αγίους Πάντες. Ο ναός φέρει τοιχογραφίες του 14ου αιώνα σε σχετικά καλή κατάσταση. Η ύπαρξη δεξαμενής υπονοεί ότι ο χώρος χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως μονή.

On the eastern side of the gorge of Rouvas, high above the monastery of Saint Nicholas, we meet the location of Kalives, where the Saints Euthymius and Nikolaos Kourtaliotis lived in the 17th century (around 1670). For some researchers, these are the same person. Inside the cavernous church there are some frescoes and there is a rock-carving with the number 1432, but it is not probably a date, as dates in that era were written with Greek symbols.
