Ο δίκλιτος ναός του Αγίου Νικολάου και της Αγίας Άννας βρίσκεται στο χωριό Ελένες. Το κλίτος του Αγίου Νικολάου φέρει εξαιρετικές τοιχογραφίες που χρονολογούνται στον 13ο αιώνα, ενώ υπάρχει επιγραφή με χρονολογία του 1609. Το κλίτος της Αγίας Άννας φέρει σύγχρονες τοιχογραφίες.

Этот однонефный сводчатый храм когдато служил кафоликоном монастыря, являвшегося подворьем большой святой обители Агарафос. В наше время сохранились только церковь и маленький колодец, в то время как монашеские кельи давно разрушились.

The Venetian monastery of Jerusalem is located at village Loutraki but now does not operate. The monastery was a center of revolutionary activity against the Turks and refuge for some of the most famous chieftains of Crete.

It is a characteristic example of the Balkan architecture with clear neoclassical influence. The size, the structure of the rooms, the variety of the forms of the other parts and the high aesthetic conception establish the building unique in Heraklion.

The deserted today Pananio Municipal Hospital was constructed at the expense of Pananos Theodoulakis and his wife Athena Anemogianni. Its construction began in 1895, but it was interrupted due to the great revolution of 1896 and restarted in November 1896, to stop again in 1897. During the Cretan State era works started again (in 1900) and on 10 February 1902 the hospital opened its gates. After the operation of the new Pananio-Venizelio general Hospital near Knossos in 1953, the hospital stopped its operation.

The chapel of Saint Stephen at Drakona (Kissamos province) is a small vaulted church sited in a lush green scenery. The temple dates back from the Byzantine Era (9th century) and bears extremely important frescoes depicting St Stephen (14th century).

Древний городок Фаланна находится в Оните, раскинувшись в крупной долине, а потому является местом с природными укреплениями. Первые упоминания о городе датируются эпохой неолита, но его расцвет приходится на архаичные времена (VII-VI век до н.э.). При раскопках были найдены два дома, акрополь со стенами и фонтан.
