Η παραλία Αθερίνα βρίσκεται λίγο πριν φτάσουμε στον οικισμό του Γούδουρα. Η μικροσκοπική παραλία έχει βότσαλο και απίστευτα καταγάλανα νερά, που κάνουν το μπάνιο πραγματική απόλαυση. Σκιά μπορεί να βρει εύκολα κάποιος στο πλάι των τοιχωμάτων του μικρού φαραγγιού.
Its exit is located in the village Nomikiana, Sfakia province. In Chionistra there are two different streams in calcareous soils which after one hour walking each merge to form the gorge of Kapni. The canyon is quite long and walking in it takes about 4 hours. It is one of the difficult and dangerous gorges of Crete with craggy riverbed which in some places creates dry waterfalls and requires climbing.
Το Φαράγγι του Χαλασέ ή Ποροφάραγγο ξεκινάει κοντά από το χωριό Σάσσαλος και καταλήγει πριν το χωριό Μάκρωνας μετά από 4 ώρες πορείας μέσα από πυκνή βλάστηση. Η διάσχιση του δεν είναι πολύ εύκολη γιατί σε ένα σημείο έχει ένα μεγάλο χαλασέ (σάρα) και δεν υπάρχει μονοπάτι.
Ο φάρος στο Ακρωτήριο Δράπανο βρίσκεται περίπου 26km ανατολικά των Χανίων και 2km βόρεια του Κόκκινου Χωριού. Εδώ δίπλα βρίσκεται και το εκπληκτικό υποθαλάσσιο σπήλαιο των Ελεφάντων, πολύ αγαπημένος προορισμός για scuba diving.
The Historical Museum of Crete was founded in 1953 by the Society of Cretan Historical Studies. It is housed in a beautiful neoclassical building that was the home of Minos Kalokerinos and a courtesy of the Kalokerinos family Institute.
The town of Hyrtakina was built on the steep Kastri near the village Temenia and flourished in the Hellenistic Times. Today the vegetation has covered most parts of the ancient city.
A very wild gorge starting from the valley of Pervola, next to Mournia village at Asterousia Mounts, and ending on the remote amazing beach of Kaminaki. There is a trail, quite steep, starting from Pervola.
The shelter is located at position Strovili at an altitude of 1533m over Limnakaro Plateau at Dikti Range. It can be accessed either by walking 2:30 hours from Avrakontes village or by driving the dirt road from there. From here one can hike to the peaks Spathi (2148m) and Afendis Christos (2141m). The shelter can accommodate 12 people. . It is available upon request to its operator, i.e. the Mountaineering Club of Lasithi (www.fysi.gr).
