Το φρούριο Belvedere ή Κάστελλος βρισκόταν πάνω στο απομονωμένο ύψωμα Κάστελλος που είχε πρόσβαση μόνο από την νοτιοανατολική πλευρά του, κοντά στα χωριά Άνω και Κάτω Καστελλιανά. Εδώ ήταν η αρχαία πόλη Πριανσός, μια ισχυρή και μεγάλη πολιτεία με δικό της νόμισμα και με επίνειο την Ίνατο (Τσούτσουρα).
A few minutes away from the city of Heraklion, close to Agios Panteleimonas Monastery by Fodele, there is the canyon of Santorinios. The canyon is short but has not been exploited yet due to its quite difficult access, because of the dense vegetation and many ponds.
Η Μονή του Αγιασμένου βρίσκεται 2km βόρεια της Ιεράπετρας, κοντά στον κεντρικό δρόμο που συνδέει την πόλη με τη Παχειά Άμμο. Ο ναός του μοναστηριού είναι αφιερωμένος στους Αγίους Πάντες και εδώ βρισκόταν στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα η οικία του Επισκόπου Ιεράς και Σητείας.
Το φαράγγι της Απολύχνου βρίσκεται λίγα χιλιόμετρα βόρεια από τις Μοίρες, σε μια κατάφυτη από ελαιώνες περιοχή. Ουσιαστικά πρόκειται για μια μεγάλη ρεματιά με ποτάμι, η οποία σε μερικά σημεία βαθαίνει, ενώ η βλάστηση σε πολλά σημεία είναι πολύ πυκνή.
The name means the lake of the Turk, taken after a legend according to which a Turk was drowned here. In order to reach the lake you should follow the dirt track from Ahendrias to Stiromandra. From Stiromandra follow the short path which is part of the old trail from Ahendrias to Agios Nikitas monastery.
The cavernous temple of Agia Dynami (Holy Force) is located in Argiroupolis. Within this small chapel there is a huge spring of Holy Force that supplies almost entire Rethymno province with water. Inside the temple there was an impressive mosaic of Christ, which has been now replaced with a simple icon as the initial has been moved to the museum of Rethymnon.

It is based in the heart of the old historic town, under the Venetian wall and the Archaeological Museum. It is housed in a Venetian building that operated (in the early 20th century until the 70s) as a soap factory and is now a modern museum around covering about 1000 sq.m.
