The Koules in Nio Chorio is located in the middle of Apokoronas Province, about 25km southeast of Chania and close to the village of Nio Chorio. On the hill of the fort leads a road starting from Nio Chorio. The fort is not well preserved, with only a few walls standing and commemorating its glorious past.
Half a kilometer to the west of Rodakino's main beach, Korakas, we meet the beach of Polirizos, surrounded by dense olive groves. To get here, you have to follow the paved road leading west from Korakas, along the shore.
The Minoan settlement of Vasiliki is located across the exit of the gorge of Ha and near the Minoan settlement of Gournia, at an elevated point that controlled the valley of Ierapetra.
The name Havgas and its corruptions (eg Chavgoudi, Ha) is very common in the gorges of East Crete. Thus, one more Cretan gorge named Havgas is located above Plaka, by Elounda. The gorge starts east of Fourni, passes below the village Havgas and exits at Plaka.
The north part of Spinalonga Peninsula called Armos (just opposite the islet Kalydon with the fort of Spinalonga) is a special place with abandoned farms, mostly unknown due to the fact that there are no roads heading here. Apart from the well known beach of Kolokytha, at the southeast base of the peninsula, there are several unknown beaches at the north part of the peninsula. It is surely worth visiting them by canoe from Plaka.
It is hosted in the Great Shipyard (Arsenali) of Chania, the last of the 17 shipyards located in the Venetian port of Chania. The construction of the building started in 1585 by Alvise Grimani.
Η Νεραϊδογούλα βρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 1209 μ., στην κοίτη του ρέματος Λιναράς στο δάσος του Σελάκανου. Ο εντοπισμός της εισόδου της είναι λίγο δύσκολος, παρόλο που υπάρχουν μερικές πινακίδες, καθώς είναι πολύ μικρή και δεν προϊδεάζει για την ύπαρξη μεγάλου σπηλαίου στο εσωτερικό.
