Η Μονή Κουδουμά βρίσκεται 74 χλμ νότια του Ηρακλείου, στη δυτική πλευρά του Ακρωτηρίου Μάρτελος και νότια του όρους Κόφινα (την φηλότερη κορυφή των Αστερουσίων Ορέων). Όλη η περιοχή είναι γεμάτη σπήλαια, στα οποία διέμεναν ερημίτες.

Η Ορθή Άμμος είναι μια φανταστική παραλία με ρηχά νερά, δίπλα στο πολύβουο Φραγκοκάστελο, 80km νότια των Χανίων. Ονομάζεται έτσι από τους μεγάλους αμμόλοφους που σχηματίζονται στην περιοχή. Είναι γνωστή για τους αμμόλοφους, για τις θίνες και την πεντακάθαρη θάλασσα.

From Agia Roumeli, at the exit of Samaria Gorge, starts the easy and very beautiful coastal part of the European E4 trail that leads to Chora Sfakion. Originally it passes from the church of Saint Paul, surrounded by pines, and continues along the rocky coast to the exit of the gorge of Aradena (Marmara beach). From there it continues to the settlements Likos and Phoenix, reaching the scenic village Loutro. From Loutro starts another path that comes to the beach Glyka Nera. After meeting the main asphalt road to Anopolis, we come by the beach Iligas and finally Chora Sfakion.

Mavros Molos (i.e. black jetty) beach is located just in front of Kissamos town, 36km west of Chania. Mavros Molos is a long gulf, on which remains of the ancient port of Kissamos have been found.

Kritsa Gorge starts near the picturesque village of Kritsa, 9.5km southwest of Agios Nikolaos, and ends at the village Tapes. It’s 4km long, reaching a width of only 1.5m in some places. It is easily accessible with a few points that need attention, where you have to climb over some big rocks (not too hard). The only time you should not visit the gorge is when it has rained previously and there are ponds in the gorge, which block the passages.

Το τοπίο στη νοτιότερη παραλία της Ευρώπης είναι υπέροχο με σήμα κατατεθέν τις τρεις μεγάλες φυσικές καμάρες, τις Καμαρέλλες, που σχηματίζονται στη γωνία του νησιού δηλαδή στο ανατολικό τέρμα της παραλίας (από αυτές τις «τρύπες» παίρνει το όνομα της η παραλία).

The coastal trail connecting Sougia to Agia Roumeli is one of the most mountainous, tiring, but also beautiful parts of E4 European trail in Crete. The trail starts from ancient Syia (Sougia), runs through Tripiti and Domata beaches, ascends to 550m altitude and descends to Agia Roumeli.

Agia Galini is one of the most popular seaside resorts of southern Rethymnon, situated next to the exit of the Amarianos River, 61km south of Rethymno city and 68km southwest of Heraklion. This small town is bustling with life during the summer months and provides all the necessary touristic amenities.
