С 2009 года Музей современного искусства Крита, площадью 1000м2, ставший центральным местом проведения выставок современного искусства, после расширения и реставрационных работ пришел на смену старой муниципальной галерее Л.Канакиса" (1992 г) и Центра Современного Искусства (1995г).

Στην επαρχία Μυλοποτάμου, μια από τις πιο ορεινές στην Κρήτη, υπήρχαν δύο Ενετικά φρούρια (καστέλια). Ένα από αυτά βρισκόταν στο χωριό Πάνορμο, ενώ το άλλο κοντά στον Άγιο Μάμα.

The small lake of Katalyki (Kato Alyki) is located next to the beach of Kokkinos Pyrgos, about 2 km west of Tymbaki. The wetland formerly constituted a united wetland with the Geropotamos delta, but the road construction, water decrease and land use for building Tymbaki airport have separated it from the main delta

Ο Υστερομινωϊκός οικισμός του Κάστρου βρίσκεται πάνω σε απόκρημνο λόφο 3km νότια του Καβουσίου, στον οποίο οδηγεί αρχαίο μονοπάτι. Η θέα στον κόλπο του Μιραμπέλου, στο άγριο φαράγγι του Μέσωνα, τα βουνά της Μαλαύρας και το νησί της Ψείρας είναι μοναδική.

Ο τάφος διατηρείται σε άριστη κατάσταση, είναι καλοσυντηρημένος και αρκετά καθαρός. Έχει αρκετά μακρύ διάδρομο εισόδου ενώ το εσωτερικό του είναι αρκετά ευρύχωρο και η πυραμιδοειδής οροφή του είναι αρκετά εντυπωσιακή. Το εντυπωσιακότερο στοιχείο του ταφικού συγκροτήματος όμως είναι ο τεράστιος λαξευτός βράχος.

The church of Panagia (Our Lady), located at the village Thronos at Amari province is a single-aisled vaulted church built around 1300. The temple was built on the ruins of an early Christian basilica of the 4th century, from which mosaics are preserved. The church bears frescoes of the 14th-15th century, while there is an inscription of 1491.

The cave Chonos Sitanos is a sinkhole near Sitanos where there are many caves. The total length of the routes in the cave is 400m and the maximum depth is 94m.

The small church of St. Constantine and Helen is located west of the village Avdou, on the boundaries with the dam of Aposelemis. It is a single aisled vaulted church with its interior adorned with frescoes of the brothers Emmanuel and Ioannis Fokas, very important representatives of Constantinople art in Crete.
