Embrosneros hosted the chateau of one of the most terrible janissaries in Crete, the Turk Ibrahim Alidakis. Alidakis owned a vast property, which he had stolen from the Greeks, and became the greatest aga of the area. In the nearby plateau of Vothonas, Alidakis raised his horses.
Psalidia means scissors in Greek and this name is taken after the shape of the bay. The surrounding area is very dry and is cover by low sand dunes and shrubs, but in September it turns to a paradise by thousands of white sand lilies. Moreover, if you walk to Lagada, you’ll meet many amazing rocks that are ideal for shooting photos.
Livadia coves are located near the village of Livadia, 72km southwest of Chania and 31km south of Kissamos. Το Σπήλαιο Λαβυρινθάκι βρίσκεται 50km νότια του Ηρακλείου, σε ένα μικρό λόφο μεταξύ Πλουτής και Μορονίου. Είναι ένα μικρό αρχαίο λατομείο, με μια αίθουσα περίπου 300μ2, ενώ το ύψος σε κάποιο σημείο φτάνει τα 4μ. Περιλαμβάνει πολλές κολώνες για τη στήριξη της οροφής του.
