Glaros Beach is located 5 kilometers west of Chania city and is the coastal front of the village Kato Daratsos in the province of Kidonia and in the area of Makris Tihos. The beach is bounded to the west by Kalamaki and to the east by the beaches of Agii Apostoli.
Η Μονή Αγίου Πνεύματος πιθανόν ιδρύθηκε κατά τον 12ο αιώνα και σίγουρα στο τέλος της Ενετοκρατίας ήταν αυτόνομο και σε άνθιση. Στις 15 Ιουνίου 1821 οι Αμπαδιώτες Τούρκοι έσφαξαν τους μοναχούς και πυρπόλησαν το μοναστήρι.
Ο ενετικός ναός της Παναγίας Κεράς ή Φανερωμένης βρίσκεται κοντά στην είσοδο της κωμόπολης των Αρχανών. Το όνομα Φανερωμένη το έχει πάρει από ένα θρύλο, σύμφωνα με τον οποίο μια κοπέλα είδε ένα φως στο σημείο όπου βρισκόταν η θαυματουργή εικόνα της Παναγίας. Με αυτή την αφορμή η κοπέλα έκτισε τον πρώτο ναό.
Achendrias gorge is located about 52km south of Heraklion, is approximately 8km long and ends on the beach Maridaki. It crosses the arid landscape of Asterousia Range that is characterized by bare mountains, sharp rocks and rough pasture lands. Throughout most of its length it is easily accessible and is dry in summer.
The pond of Orne village is located at an altitude of 300m at the southeastern slopes of Mount Kedros, only 500m northeast of the village Orne. The distance from Rethymnon is about 50km.

Турки (тогда на Крите правил Реуф Паша) построили этот большой форт в 1872 году на месте старой башни (или небольшого форта), поставленной здесь в 1646 г., для защита порта - вход в залив Суда с этого холма просматривался (и простреливался из пушек) прекрасно.
Northeast of the village Monastiraki, at position Kokkinos Harakas, the palatial Minoan buildings were brought to light from excavations that started in 1980. The palace covers an estimated area of about 300 acres and its core has been revealed up to now.
