The Church of Saint Demetrius near the Venetian harbor of Heraklion is built on the site of an older church of St. Demetrius, who was the patron saint of the carpenters of Heraklion during the Venetian era (every profession then had its patron saint!). The only surviving part of the initial church is a part of frescoes inside the sanctuary.

The church of Santa Barbara is a single-vaulted church with. There are ruins of the medieval buildings around the monastery. The best preserved building is the elongated two-storey building in the west. It is preserved in good condition with a vaulted ground floor, while the floor is semi ruined.

A small, single-nave, barrel vaulted church that is located on the south side of the square, which has the same name. The church dates back to the period of the Venetian Rule, more specifically to the 15th century. There are two entrances, one on the west and one on the north, with ornate Venetian aedicules. On the monolithic lintel of the north entrance, there are two elaborate spirals. Just in front of the Altar, there is a tomb, whose owner is unknown.
During the battle of Lassithi in 1867, the 10 windmills that stood near Potami village and were mainly used for milling, were destroyed by the Turks. The windmill park was then moved to Katakalou and Asfendami areas, and later moved to the big mill park of Ambelos.
Венецианская вилла и венецианский оливковый пресс находятся в монастыре Святого Георгия в Кариди. Вилла и примыкающий к ней пресс датируются периодом 1650-1750гг. Особняк претерпел последующие реставрации, но не был сильно видоизменен от своего первозданного вида.
