It is located right at the top of the hill but on the south side and not in the north where the excavations are. In front of the entrance there is an ancient stone yard and two large stones playing the role of a door. The cave inside has a spacious hall and is devoid of cave decoration. The large hall is greenish due to moisture. There is a very narrow gallery that led deeper into the mountain which however today is blocked by soil and manure.
Τα χρόνια της Ενετοκρατίας αποτελούσε καθολικό μοναστηριού, ενδιαιτήματα του οποίου σώζονται περιμετρικά του. Το καλύτερα σωζόμενο είναι το επίμηκες διώροφο κτίριο στα δυτικά του. Διατηρείται σε καλή κατάσταση το καμαροσκεπές ισόγειο, ενώ αντίθετα ο όροφος του είναι ημιερειπωμένος.
The vrouves is one of the most famous and classic family of greens found in the cultivated fields in the villages of Crete. They sprout everywhere and from ancient times the Cretans consume them. They usually gather the upper part of the plants and eat them boiled with lemon and olive oil, they also use them in pies.

В деревне Критса, на GPS маркере Aмбела, мы находим руины маленькой средневековой башни с единственной сохранившейся аркой. Сдается, что башня использовалась для слежки за посевами и также для присмотра за проходом в Критсу.
Akrotiri Cape by Chania hosts the largest (in density) number of temples than every other part of Chania. Many of these temples are very well known to visitors due to their history and architecture. There are of course several that are less known or completely unknown, however they might carry a special story sometimes. One of the more obscure temples of Akrotiri is that of Saint Gerasimos at Aroni. Saint Gerasimos is a new church but is built on the site of an older church of St. Gerasimos.
