The church of Saint Onuphrius is located in the central market of Heraklion and is completely unknown as it is trapped by various shops of the streets 1866, Tsikritzi and Evans. Today one can see its dome from the market of 1866 street or the roofs of the adjacent buildings, while access to the interior of the church is only possible through Toulis bakery.
The stone built bridge and the watermill at Kakia Rahi position are both monuments protected by the Greek State. They are landmarks in the area, associated with memories of the locals. They are both special constructions that combine rigorous morphological solutions.
Csve Fandaxospiliara (aka the cave with the ghosts) is located next to the quarry of Latzimas, at Rethymnon province. The cave was an underground riverbed, which currently has no water. The length reaches 230m and the depth 11m.
At the center of Kounavi village stands the scenic three-aisled church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Archangel Michael and St. Haralambos, the patron saint of the village. The temple has three semicircular arches and an arcosolium of the 16th century. Also samples of frescoes survive.
Разрушенный монастырь Св. Георгия Мормориса находится в деревне Нерокуру около Ханьи и датируется 1637 (и ранее). Монастырь, в свое время обладавший огромным состоянием является «подшефным» монастырю Гувернето и был объявлен охраняемым памятником.
Στην κορφή ενός λόφου λίγο πάνω από το χωριό Γάσι στο Αρκαλοχώρι στην περιοχή που λέγεται ‘Στους Μύλους’’ συναντάμε ένα εντυπωσιακό ανεμόμυλο. Το σημείο που βρίσκεται ο ανεμόμυλος του Γασίου είναι το ψηλότερο όλης της περιοχής και προσφέρει μοναδική θέα στα χωριά του κάμπου του Αρκαλοχωρίου. Ο ανεμόμυλος στο Γάσι είναι ο μοναδικός που έχει επιζήσει και έχει φτάσει μέχρι τις μέρες μας από μια σειρά μύλων που είχε το σημείο αυτό όπως θυμούνται οι παλιότεροι κάτοικοι του χωριού.
У заброшенного поселка Фратиас, рядом с монастырем Хера Хила находится церковь Св. Иоанна, которая была когда-то храмом маленького монастыря. В этой арочной церкви только один неф, а у входа указана дата 1590.
Вокруг монастыря сохранилось несколько разрушенных зданий и келий.
The church of Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) is located east of the village Hohlakies and close to Galifa village. It operated as the temple of a small monastery, which operated as a dependency of Agarathos monastery. An inscription testifies that the church was renovated in 1602, confirming its long history. The church does not bear frescoes, but impresses with its size.
