The beautiful unknown beach of Gialopotama is formed west of a small hill, on which a few small houses and apartments for renting are built. The beach is sandy and has deep cool water. The rocks lying around it make it ideal for snorkeling.
The peninsula of Grammeno(s) is located 85km south of Chania and 5km east of Paleochora, on the road connecting Paleochora with Koudoura. Koudoura is a warm area with greenhouses, where most citizens of the area work.
The east end of the long Ierapetra beach is called Livadia, and beyond this, is called Peristeras. This is a secluded area with high cliffs surrounding it. The beach is sandy and has several smooth rocks in places. You can reach the easternmost part of Saint Andrew by walking from the road. However, there is a second sandy beach in Peristeras, just behind the rocky end of the long beach, that can be accessed by the road. This is very well protected by prying eyes, but there are many rocks.

Η Χώρα Σφακίων ή Σφακιά είναι μια γραφική πόλη στη νότια ακτή της Κρήτης. Είναι η πρωτεύουσα της απομακρυσμένης και της ορεινής περιοχής των Σφακίων, και είναι μια μικρή πόλη με μόλις 278 κατοίκους (απογραφή 2001). Βρίσκεται στη νότια ακτή του Ν. Χανίων, κοντά στο τέλος του πανέμορφου φαραγγιού της Ίμπρου, 74 χλμ. νότια των Χανίων.
Οι παραλίες του Αγίου Χαράλαμπου βρίσκονται περίπου 2 χιλιόμετρα ανατολικά της Χώρας Σφακίων και 75 χιλιόμετρα νότια της πόλης των Χανίων. Η περιοχή, λόγω των κροκαλοπαγών πετρωμάτων της, είναι γεμάτη με μικρούς κόλπους με βότσαλα. Οι παραλίες της περιοχής σχηματίζονται σε 3-4 συνεχόμενους κολπίσκους, από τους οποίους ο πρώτος ονομάζεται Σφακιανό Αμμούδι.
The gorge Almyros is located in Linoperamata, close to Heraklion, between Keri and Kastrokefala. Almiros Gorge is the nearest gorge to Heraklion, a natural oasis close to the bustling city, formed between the hills of Keri and Kastrokefala.
Ancient Eleftherna is located 25km southeast of Rethymno, close to the Monastery of Arkadi. The town is the most important archaeological site in the prefecture of Rethymno, which has not fully been excavated and it is expected to give archaeologists many more discoveries. The first organized excavations here started in 1985 by the University of Crete.
