In front of the big tamarisk trees of the square Kitroplatia there is a small beach with sand and pebbles in places. Here you will find umbrellas and showers. Το Κατάρτι είναι μια μικρή παραλία που σχηματίζεται στην έξοδο ενός μικρού φαραγγιού, 73 χλμ νότια της πόλης του Ηρακλείου, στη βάση του Ακρωτηρίου Όξα. Η εντελώς απομονωμένη αυτή παραλία βρίσκεται καταμεσής του άγριου και μαγευτικού τοπίου των Αστερουσίων Ορέων, νοτιοδυτικά της κορυφής του Κόφινα.
Ένα χλμ ανατολικά του οικισμού του Χρυσόστομου υπάρχει μικρή παραλία με ψιλό βοτσαλάκι που ονομάζεται κι Ανατολικός Χρυσόστομος. Η παραλία έχει μικρό βοτσαλάκι και είναι αρκετά βραχώδης, γι' αυτό δεν προτιμάται για μπάνιο, αλλά χρησιμοποιείται ως λιμανάκι. Δεν είναι οργανωμένη αλλά υπάρχει μια ταβέρνα και λίγα δωμάτια κοντά. Από την ταβέρνα κατεβαίνει απότομος χωματόδρομος ως την παραλία αυτή.
Το σπήλαιο του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Ερημίτη ή του Ξένου βρίσκεται κοντά στο φαράγγι Αυλάκι, Ακρωτηρίου Χανίων, μόλις μερικές εκατοντάδες μέτρα μακρύτερα από την Αρκουδοσπηλιά, στην ερειπωμένη Μονή Καθολικού και κοντά στη Μονή Γουβερνέτου. Ομοίως με την Αρκουδοσπηλιά, είναι και αυτό παλαιά κοίτη ποταμού με συνολικό μήκος περίπου 135μ. σε μορφή οριζόντιας γαλαρίας. Έχει πλούσιο διάκοσμο σε πολλά σημεία με μεγάλους σταλακτίτες και σταλαγμίτες.

The gorge of Ambas is located 53km south of Heraklion, in Asterousia Mountains. This is a large (4km long) and beautiful canyon with many narrow passages, which is accessible only by experienced canyoners.
Vlychadia is located 31km north of Agios Nikolaos, on the north shores of the area of Mirabello. It is a small seaside settlement, where you can get after driving from Neapolis, through the villages Skinias and Agios Georgios. Around the dorp there are several small bays with secluded beaches, which are mainly rocky and pebbly.
