Κοντά στα Σκινάρια, στο δρόμο που οδηγεί για την παραλία, θα δείτε μια περίεργη σπηλιά στα αριστερά σας με κυλινδρικό σχήμα, που διαπερνάει έναν βράχο. Η σπηλιά λέγεται Τρυπητή και μέσα φωλιάζουν περιστέρια..

The small pebble beach Vourlidia is formed at the exit of Flomias gorge, at the west part of Salamias bay and at the base of Oxa cape. This incredible beach can be accessed after strenuous hiking from Agios Ioannis (east) or Tripiti beach (west). The place above the beach can be approached through very bad dirt track from Koumasa or Kapetaniana.

The islands of Grandes is a complex of three small lowland rocks in the province of Sitia, about half a mile opposite the beautiful beach of Hiona. In fact, the largest area (300 acres) is occupied by the middle island, known as Prasonisi, which is oblong and has the highest altitude at 31 meters. In the middle of the island there is a beautiful beach with two tamarisk trees, surrounded by rocks.

Η Μαλάξα είναι μια ολόκληρη ορεινή περιοχή, τα υψώματα της οποίας φράσσουν από τον νότο τον Κάμπο της Κυδωνίας. Είναι μια οχυρή περιοχή που υψώνεται απέναντι από τη Σούδα, η οποία έχει αποτελέσει θέατρο πολεμικών συγκρούσεων μεταξύ των Κρητικών και των εκάστοτε τυράννων τους.

At the north side of the White Mountains, at the borders of provinces Apokoronas and Sfakia there is the small plateau of Krapi. Just above Krapi starts the natural passage called Katre Lagos that links north coast to Askyfoy plateau and Sfakia area.

Just below the famous Kamares cave, above the village Kamares we meet a sizable wood. Kamares wood covers the region on the south side of Mavri peak and reaches up to an altitude of 1600-1700 meters. Its area reaches almost till the position Koutsounares where the Voriza canyon starts and continues above the village Vorizia.

The canyon is formed north of Rodakino village and is inaccessible without the use of canyoning equipment. It starts south of the summit of Kryoneritis Mount and after 5km it merges with the canyon of Sykia, just before reaching the bridge of Rodakino.

Το μικρό μοναστήρι του Μιχαήλ Αρχαγγέλου βρίσκεται στην τοποθεσία Φοινικιάς, πάνω από το ρέμα που δημιουργεί το όμορφο φοινικόδασος της Σούδας. Ο Φοίνικας, όπως είναι γνωστός, αποτελούσε μετόχι τη μονής Προφήτη Ηλία στα Ρούστικα και σήμερα ανήκει στην ενορία Σελλιών. Μετά το 2009 ξεκίνησε το έργο αναστήλωσης του ως τότε ερειπωμένου μοναστηριού του 18ου αιώνα.
