At Kenourgio Village of Pediada Province there have survived the ruins of a tower that belonged to the family of Markantonio Foscolo. The tower was known by the will of the Cretan comedian poet of "Fortunato".

Η ενετική έπαυλη και το ενετικό ελαιοτριβείο βρίσκονται στην Ιερά Μονή Αγ. Γεωργίου στο Καρύδι. Η έπαυλη και το όμορο ελαιοτριβείο χρονολογούνται στο 1650-1750. Η έπαυλη έχει υποστεί μεταγενέστερες επεμβάσεις, οι οποίες όμως δεν έχουν αλλοιώσει ιδιαίτερα την αρχική της μορφή.

The single-aisled vaulted church of Jesus Christ in the old central Square of Tylissos has undergone alterations through the centuries. It’s interior houses an arcosolium (funerary monument of the founder of the church) while there is an exceptional fountain with Arabic inscriptions embedded on its exterior wall.

Το μονοπάτι Ε4 που συνδέει τις Καμάρες με το Ζαρό έχει σηματοδοτηθεί κυρίως με κόκκινα σημάδια και το μεγαλύτερο του μέρος διέρχεται μέσα από δρόμους. Σε υψόμετρο 705μ, ανάμεσα στα Άνω Μούλια και τον ερημωμένο οικισμό του Ράφτη, και σε σημείο που ελέγχει τον κάμπο της Μεσαράς, το 1866, ο Αυνή Πασάς έκτισε ένα μεγάλο Κούλε. Το μεγάλο φρούριο σώζεται σε αρκετά καλή κατάσταση και προστάτευε τον Ράφτη, το οποίο ήταν χωριό Μουσουλμάνων.

Chukar (scient. Alectoris graeca) or rock patridge is a beautiful bird abounding in Crete, for which many songs have been sung. The chukar walks and runs well on all grounds. It rarely flies, but it does so faster and better than all galliformes.

The rocky tulip (Tulipa saxatilis) is a rare species of tulip scattered around Crete, Karpathos, Rhodos and southern Turkey. There is also the endemic rocky tulip of Baker (Tulipa saxatilis subsp. bakeri), that was initially separated from the saxatilis species, but in 2009 was reconsidered as a subspecies of saxatilis.
