The province of Amari has a really large number of churches dedicated to Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos), as almost every village hosts one. Inside the residential area of the village of Nevs Amari there is the small single-nave arched church of Saint Nicholas.

Το σπηλαιοβάραθρο Μαύρο Σκιάδι αποτελεί ένα από τα πλέον γνωστά βάραθρα της Κρήτης, κυρίως διότι έχει τη μεγαλύτερη γνωστή μονοκόμματη κατάβαση σε όλη την Ελλάδα κι από τις μεγαλύτερες στον κόσμο. Βρίσκεται στην τοποθεσία Ατζινόλακκος.
The small single-nave church of Saint Mammes (Agios Mamas) is located north of the village Kapistri, currently named Stavros, in Ierapetra province, very close to the monastery of Panagia in Gourni and the church of Agia Sophia.
The small village of Amariano in the province Pediada is known for its picturesque alleys, the square with the old plane tree and the traditional coffee shops. In the square there is the old fountain of 1898 and a cistern, where the visitor can drink the water of the spring that comes from the mountain area of Afentis Christos in Dikti Range.
The church of Saint Basil of Caesarea (Agios Vasilios) is located in the center of the historic village of Agios Vassilios or Kato Sivritos, which was the seat of Castelo San Baseglio and gave its name to the province of Agios Vasilios. It consists of the original 13th-century dome-shaped cruciform temple, with a second aisle added in the second half of the 19th century.
Ο ναός της Παναγίας στην τοποθεσία Γουρνί βρίσκεται σε ρεματιά βόρεια του χωριού Καπίστρι, στο δρόμο για την Παναγία Κεραγραμμένη. Σύμφωνα με την παράδοση το όνομα Γουρνί προήλθε από μικρή γούρνα που οι μοναχοί είχαν τοποθετήσει στον παρακείμενο ποταμό για να παίρνουν νερό.
The church of Saint Athanasius (Agios Athanasios) is located just outside the village Kefali of the area called Nine Villages in Kissamos province. The single-nave arched temple is surrounded by a beautiful piney park and its interior has a reinforcing arch.
