Στου Μέρη το πηγάδι υπάρχουν τρεις μικροί συνεχόμενοι κόλποι, απάνεμοι, με ψιλό βοτσαλάκι και πεντακάθαρα βαθειά νερά. Δίπλα στις παραλίες δεν υπάρχουν υποδομές. Είναι ιδανικό μέρος για να χαλαρώσετε, μακριά από την φασαρία της πόλης. Στις παραλίες υπάρχουν λίγα μικρά δέντρα, κάτω από τα οποία μπορείτε να βρείτε σκιά.

Η Ανάληψη είναι λιγότερο ανεπτυγμένη τουριστικά από τις τριγύρω περιοχές και αποτελεί αγαπημένο προορισμό κυρίως οικογενειαρχών, καθώς οι διακοπές εδώ είναι πιο ήρεμες και ποιοτικές. Μπροστά στο χωριό υπάρχει ένας μικρός μόλος με μια πολύ γραφική Εκκλησία, αφιερωμένη στην Αγία Μαρίνα.

2km north of Agios Nikolaos you will meet the historic Hotel Mirabello. In front of the hotel there are the two bays of Mirabello with two beautiful sandy beaches. The first beach is protected by docks and a small marina. Both of them are very well-organized, with umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and bar. They are separated by a short artificial peninsula with tamarisk trees.

Η Μονή Δισκουρίου βρίσκεται 43km ανατολικά του Ρεθύμνου και θεωρείται μια από τις παλαιότερες μονές της Κρήτης. Η παλαιότητα της αποδεικνύεται από την ύπαρξη του κοντινού κατάγραφου Βυζαντινού ναού του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Προδρόμου.

If you head 1km to the east of Myrtos you will meet the long beach of Sarikambos, that is more secluded, but the seabed becomes coarser. 2 more km on the east, you'll find a small bay next to the greenhouses of Nea Myrtos settlement. This is avoided for swimming due to the greenhouses that might pollute the water.

The Armenian Church of Saint John the Baptist in Heraklion occupies the older Church of Saint George Doryanos. The building passed to the Armenian community immediately after the surrender of Candia to the Ottomans in 1669 and is one of the most important surviving monuments associated with the long Armenian presence in Crete.

Περίπου 500μ. ανατολικά του Ξερόκαμπου θα συναντήσετε ένα από τα πιο περίεργα τοπία για τα δεδομένα της Ανατολικής Κρήτης. Εδώ θα δείτε μια τεράστια ξερή αλυκή δίπλα στη θάλασσα. Μπορεί να μην σας ενθουσιάσει, αλλά αν έρθετε την άνοιξη ή το χειμώνα, τότε θα καταλάβετε την τεράστια σημασία της.

Thripti Plateau is located next to the village of Kavousi, in Ierapetra area, at an altitude of 850m. It's really one of the most beautiful places worth visiting in Crete, which is totally unknown to most Cretans. Its natural beauty is very special and so are the Thripti mountain hiking trails, which are part of the European path E4, which starts from the Iberian Peninsula, passing the Alps down to Crete, where it stops in the mountains of Sitia.
