В середине юго-восточных берегов Лефки или острова Куфонисси, на высоте 75м, мы находим разрушенный маяк острова. Здесь был также найден храм, который, к сожалению, пострадал от яростных погромов властей (в 1920) с целью строительства огромного маяка, всего в 5м от восточной части храма, где располагался вход в храм (был найден еще один вход с лестницей в северной части здания).

Makasi Gallery is a military passage approximately 110 metres long beneath Martinengo Bastion in the Venetian Walls of Heraklion. During the German occupation it was used to hold hostages, while today it serves as a memorial space dedicated to resistance, imprisonment and deportation.

This plane tree forms a small oasis in the monastery of Saint John Giona, contrary to the arid and eerie landscape around. It is said that a weird phenomenon takes place here, as the leafs of the plane tree are from the other side than usual.

Εξαιρετικά όμορφο μικρό φαράγγι που ξεκινάει από τους Μεσελέρους Ιεράπετρας και, αφού γίνει ποτάμι, διοχετεύει τα νερά του στο φράγμα των Μπραμιανών. Η βλάστηση αποτελείται κυρίως από πεύκα, ενώ κύριο χαρακτηριστικό είναι οι εντυπωσιακές μορφές που έχουν οι βράχοι από τη διάβρωση του νερού.

At the eastern edge of Pera Galini beach, the small cape of Kefali is formed. The ruins of a Minoan settlement, which is thought to have been an important port in the region, have been discovered there.

Напротив пляжа Агия Марина, остров заповедник Святого Тэодора или Тодора, на котором живет самая большая колония на Крите, находящихся под угрозой диких критских коз (Кри-Кри). Вступать на остров, строго запрещено.

In the middle of the distance of Heraklion and Rethymnon and just before reaching Bali, right on the highway we meet the church of Panagia (Our Lady) Charakiani. It is the largest pilgrimage in the entire prefecture of Rethymnon. During the first 15 days of August many people gathered, especially on the old days, and stayed in small huts around the temple till the day of the Assumption during which the small church celebrates.

Ο μικρός ναός των Αγίων Αναργύρων και Σάββα στην παλιά πόλη των Χανίων κτίστηκε από την εποχή της Ενετοκρατίας, καθώς αναφέρεται σε έγγραφο του 1583. Μετά την κατάκτηση της Κρήτης από τους Οθωμανούς τον 17ο αιώνα ο ναός αυτός ήταν ο μόνος χριστιανικός ορθόδοξος ναός μέσα στα Χανιά και αποτέλεσε και τον κεντρικό καθεδρικό ναό της επισκοπής Κυδωνίας.
