Πάνω από το χωριό Βαινιά Ιεράπετρας βρίσκεται η κορφή του Σταυρού με το κατάλευκο εκκλησάκι του Τιμίου Σταυρού σε πανοραμικό σημείο όπου έχει κανείς τον έλεγχο όλου του ισθμού της Ιεράπετρας. Λίγα μονάχα μέτρα παραπέρα από το εκκλησάκι του Τιμίου Σταυρού στη θέση Πύργος βρίσκεται ένας ακόμα άγνωστος και ξεχασμένος Βενετσιάνικος πύργος.
The Venetian stone bridge of Platanias, named San Marco, crosses the river Platanias and is a single arched bridge with an arc length of 17.8m, width of 8m and height 3.65m. The bridge is the longest single-arch bridge in Crete.
Ο ποταμός Κερίτης βρίσκεται κοντά στα Χανιά και ανήκει στα ποτάμια με τη μεγαλύτερη παροχή νερού στην Κρήτη. Συγκεντρώνει τα νερά των Λευκών Ορέων από την περιοχή της Ζούρβας και των Μεσκλών και έπειτα από πορεία που ξεπερνάει τα 25 χλμ καταλήγει στην παραλία του Πλατανιά. Στο διάβα του ενώνεται με πολλά ρέματα και παραπόταμους.
The restored Byzantine Monastery of St. John the Divine is located next to the huge Roman cisterns of the ancient city of Aptera. It is believed to have been built in the 7th century AD, as a dependency of the Monastery of Patmos island, under the supervision of which it remained till 1964 (when it was abandoned permanently).
The church was recently restored by the Archaeological Service and is now open to the public. The temple was built in the Middle Byzantine period on the site of an earlier basilica of the 3rd AD century, parts of which were later incorporated the church. On the sides four rooms were built, so the final shape of the temple is rectangular.

Ο Άγιος Παύλος είναι Βυζαντινή εκκλησία που είναι χτισμένη πάνω στην παραλία, στη θέση Σελούδα. Βρίσκεται στο σημείο όπου ο Απόστολος Παύλος λέγεται ότι βάπτισε ανθρώπους περνώντας από δω κατά το ταξίδι του για τη Ρώμη. Είναι μια πολύ γραφική μικρή εκκλησία, χτισμένη πάνω στην παραλία με πέτρες από την περιοχή.
This trail starts from Agouseliana, comes north of the villages Katsogrida and Atsipades, passes through Koxare, meets the upper entrance of Kourtaliotiko Gorge, crosses Mixorouma and Dariviana, and stops at Spili. It is very easy, as it is mostly on paved and unpaved roads.
