Shortly after the village Mousouta there is the deserted village Handrou. This is another unknown beautiful Cretan village that once throbbed with life but today looks haunted, with only one resident. The village is situated in a prominent location with beautiful views and is surrounded by two streams.
The church of Agia Paraskevi is relatively modern, but it is built over an older Byzantine church. Even today the visitor will discern small parts of the frescoes of the original church, dating before the 17th century. Inside, the church has a large collection of wonderful portable icons. Outside the church there is a large courtyard under the tall trees.
Ο κοιμητηριακός ναός του Αγίου Νικολάου και Χαραλάμπους στο Μιλιαρίσι είναι δίκογχος, ένας τύπος που δε συναντάμε συχνά. Ο τύπος του δίκογχου ναού διαφέρει από τον δίκλιτο με την ενιαία στέγαση των δύο κλιτών, με μία δηλαδή στέγη, χωρίς παρεμβολή τοίχου ανάμεσα στα κλίτη.
Ένα από τα πολύ εύκολα και πραγματικά μικρά καταφύγια που είναι ανοικτά και μπορεί να δει κάποιος είναι μέσα στην πόλη των Χανίων. Συγκεκριμένα ακριβώς πίσω από το ναό του Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα στον χώρο της αυλής του σε περιοχή πυκνοκατοικημένη σήμερα υπάρχει ένα μικρό καταφύγιο που έχει δύο εισόδους όπως και τα περισσότερα.
The church of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos) Maziotis is located in the village of Maza, province of Apokoronas. It is a small single naved arch-roofed temple dating back to the 13th century. Its interior has impressive frescoes by the famous hagiographer of western Crete, Ioannis Pagomenos, who is believed to be buried on the floor of the temple.

While hiking from Sarakiniko bay to the most famous beach of Gavdos, namely Agiannis, you will meet the small and serene beach of Fetife(s) at location Karediana. Next to it there is a small tavern and the last point where you can reach by car. The beach is formed at the exit of the small stream of Agios Pavlos, in which small ponds are formed in winter.
