The cave church of Panagia at Vithanos is located in a panoramic position of the Loutra Gorge, near the village of Krotos. It is dedicated to Zoodochos Pigi (Life Giving Spring) and one can still see the date 20-5-1765 above the entrance.

Το πολύ όμορφο φαράγγι της Συκιάς αποτελεί ουσιαστικά το ανατολικότερο φαράγγι της επαρχίας Σφακίων και σχηματίζεται βόρεια από το χωριό Ροδάκινο. Αποτελεί τεχνικό φαράγγι, δηλαδή η διάσχισή του απαιτεί χρήση τεχνικού εξοπλισμού καθώς στην πορεία του σχηματίζονται περισσότερες από 10 απότομες καταβάσεις (καταρράκτες), οι οποίες έχουν ασφαλιστεί με ρελέ από τους σπηλαιολογικούς συλλόγους της Κρήτης.

Ο ναός της Παναγίας στο Ανισαράκι Κανδάνου είναι μονόχωρος καμαροσκέπαστος με δύο ενισχυτικά σφενδόνια. Στη βενετσιάνικη πύλη στο δυτικό τοίχο, ενώ η αρχική είσοδος ήταν στο νότιο τοίχο, φαίνεται το τόξο και μια επιγραφή του 1614. Ο ναός φέρει τοιχογραφίες σε καλή κατάσταση που χρονολογούνται στο 1390-1400. Οι αντηρίδες που βλέπουμε σήμερα τοποθετήθηκαν το 1965.

Το σπήλαιο της Κερά Σπηλιώτισσας βρίσκεται στην περιοχή Φλομές στην πλαγιά ανατολικά πάνω από το χωριό Βρύσσες Κυδωνίας Χανίων. Φλομές λέγεται η περιοχή επειδή είναι κατάφυτη με δενδρώδεις φλόμους ένα από τα πιο εντυπωσιακά ασβεστόφιλα φυτά, αυτά δηλαδή που αγαπάνε τα ασβεστολιθικά πετρώματα.

At the entrance of the picturesque village Aitania,.at Pediada province, Heraklion, on the way from village Episkopi we meet the picturesque church of Panagia Kardiotissa. The church is cemeterial and is dedicated to the Birth of the Virgin. It is a very picturesque church, of the many that adorn the wider region of Episkopi, where we meet many Byzantine churches.

Every year, on May 8, the day of Saint John the Theologian, crowds of believers from all over Crete arrive at the small village Marmaketo, at Lasithi Plateau, to participate at the annual miracle of Marmaketo. At the main church of St. John the Theologian, on Good Friday, starts begins a customary process that ends at the feast day of St. John: On Good Friday, morning, the women of Marmaketo gather some wild orchids, called Easter flowers.

The Cave of Eileithyia is formed very close to the point where the road from Heraklion meets the coastal road of Tsoutsouras, at the site of the ancient town Inatos. Its entrance, which is sealed for safety reasons by the Archaeological Service, is accessed via a very short path with stairs starting from the main road.

Near the northern entrance of Epano Archanes we find the Old Primary School of Archanes. The Didaskalio, as it is known, is a classic sample of neoclassical urban architecture of the early 20th century that was used in many schools in Greece.
