The beach of Drapanias is located 5km east of Kissamos and 32km west of Chania, between Korfalonas and the Nopigia. It is named after the homonym village, situated 1km south of the beach. It's east part is also called Kokkino Metohi.

Η Πύλη Ιησού, γνωστή και ως Καινούργια Πόρτα, κατασκευάστηκε το 1587 στη νότια πλευρά των Ενετικών Τειχών του Ηρακλείου. Αποτελούσε την κύρια έξοδο του Χάνδακα προς τις νότιες επαρχίες της Κρήτης, ενώ από το εσωτερικό της περνούσε και ο αγωγός του μεγάλου Υδραγωγείου Μοροζίνι.

Kastri is located 72km southeast of Heraklion, in the sheltered bay of Keratokambos. It is the biggest of the two settlements of the region (the second is Keratokambos), which are now united. In recent years Kastri has faced considerable development, mainly because the surrounding beaches are a magnet for visitors.

Voulolimni (i.e. sunk lake) is located 70km southeast of Chania and 500m northwest of Chrysoskalitissa monastery. It is actually a small crater, surrounded by rocks, forming a small salt lake. Voulolimni is not actually a beach, but the rocky "pool" for the residents of Chrysoskalitissa.

The fortified monastery of Agarathos is located 23km east of Heraklion in a wooded location at an altitude of 538m near Episkopi. The monastery, especially during the Venetian Era, was one of the richest in Crete owning several other monasteries in Heraklion and Lassithi prefectures. It is considered the first in the hierarchy of the monasteries of the island.

One of the most popular Byzantine monuments in Crete (13th- 14th A.D.) is located in Logari, one kilometre east of Kritsa. This triple-nave Byzantine church is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, to Saint Anthony and Saint Anna. It is adorned with superb wall paintings on particular themes like the representation of Saint Anna, other icons of the saints, and the fourteen scenes depicting the secret life of the Virgin Mary.

Οι Καλύβες είναι ένα παραθαλάσσιο θέρετρο που βρίσκεται 19 χλμ δυτικά των Χανίων, στη νότια ακτή του κόλπου της Σούδας. Το μικρό αυτό χωριό σχηματίζεται σε μια εύφορη καταπράσινη κοιλάδα, στην οποία εκβάλουν 3 ποταμοί. Το όνομα του χωριού φαίνεται ότι προέρχεται από τις καλύβες που έστηναν οι γεωργοί στα κτήματά τους, για να διανυκτερεύουν το καλοκαίρι.

Η Μίλατος βρίσκεται 34km βορειοδυτικά του Αγίου Νικολάου και 16km ανατολικά της Χερσονήσου, στις δυτικές παρυφές του Μιραμπέλου. Είναι ένα τουριστικό χωριό, το οποίο έχει διατηρήσει πολλά από τα παραδοσιακά χαρακτηριστικά του, ενώ 1km βορειότερα υπάρχει ο παραθαλάσσιος οικισμός της Παραλίας της Μιλάτου.
