The Museum of Byzantine Icons and Relics of Archdiocese of Crete is located in the Venetian church of St. Catherine of Sinai, in the center of Heraklion and next to the cathedral of Saint Minas.
Η Μονή Ασωμάτων βρίσκεται 35km νοτιοανατολικά του Ρεθύμνου, στο μέσο μιας κατάφυτης κοιλάδας του Αμαρίου που σχηματίζεται ανάμεσα στο Όρος Κέδρος και στον Ψηλορείτη. Ο ναός της μονής είναι αφιερωμένος στους Ταξιάρχες (=Ασώματοι).
The museum of Acritans of Europe is housed in the center of Paleochora town, in the old boarding house. It was established on July 2006 and funded by the program "Culture 2000».
Βρίσκεται κοντά στο ομώνυμο χωριό των Σφακίων, σε μια απόκρημνη πλαγιά, στη θέση Σκορδαλάκια, πήρε την ονομασία του από τα φυτά που φυτρώνουν εκεί, στο δρόμο από Ασφέντου προς Καλλικράτη και έχει μπροστά του ένα πλάτωμα με έκταση 2000 περίπου τετραγωνικά μέτρα.
Tripiti is an untouched beautiful beach with pebbles and deep blue waters. It is surrounded by towering cliffs and on the east side there are some beautiful caves. The steep cliffs make it one of the most isolated beaches of Heraklion. There is no access by car, although you can still see the remains of the road that leaded to the beach until 1995. The road has been completely destroyed by floods and now there is not even a footpath.

Το μικρό φοινικοδάσος του Αγίου Αντωνίου βρίσκεται δίπλα στην Μονή του Αγίου Νικήτα, σε ένα από τα πιο δύσβατα μέρη στην Κρήτη. Μια όαση στην μέση του πουθενά, το φοινικόδασος προστατεύεται και βρίσκεται στο επίκεντρο επιστημονικής έρευνας.
Fratiano Gorge is one of the long canyons of Rethymno Prefecture, running alongside Kourtaliotiko Gorge and crossing Xiro Oros Mount. Its entrance is located 23km southeast of Rethymnon, next to the village Frati, and it mouth is located near the exit of the gorge Kourtaliotiko.
