The archaeological Museum of Kissamos was founded in 2005 and is housed in the Venetian - Turkish monument known as Diikitirio ("Headquarters"). Its exhibits provide a longitudinal picture of the region's history from prehistory to late antiquity, i.e. the early Christian Times.

Η Πολύριζος βρίσκεται δίπλα στην κεντρική παραλία του Ροδάκινου, τον Κόρακα. Η περιοχή είναι κατάφυτη από πυκνούς ελαιώνες που κατεβαίνουν μέχρι τη θάλασσα. Για να έρθετε εδώ, ακολουθήστε το δρόμο που οδηγεί δυτικά από την παραλία του Κόρακα, κατά μήκος της παραλίας.

Η νησίδα Άγιοι Πάντες του Αγίου Νικολάου φιλοξενεί μια πανέμορφη μικροσκοπική παραλία με άμμο και καταγάλανα νερά κοντά στο σημείο όπου δένουν οι βάρκες που μεταφέρουν τους προσκυνητές του ναού των Αγίων Πάντων.

Πάνω στο μονοπάτι που οδηγεί από τον Άγιο Ιωάννη Καπετανιανών στη Μονή Κουδουμά υπάρχει ένα εντυπωσιακό σπήλαιο με σχήμα Δ, μέσα στο οποίο υπάρχει το μικρό εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Αντωνίου.

Η Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη του Δήμου Ηρακλείου φιλοξενείται στον χώρο της Βασιλικής του Αγίου Μάρκου στο κέντρο του Ηρακλείου. Η βασιλική κτίστηκε από τους Ενετούς το 1239, καταστράφηκε το 1303 από σεισμό και αναστηλώθηκε αμέσως.

At the suburb Tria Monastiria of Rethymnon city, just opposite the entrance of the Municipal Cemetery of the city, we meet a ruined stone building with a small church on its roof, in a really beautiful grove.

Platys (i.e. wide) river is one of the rivers of foremost importance in Crete, flowing all year round. It gathers almost all water quantities of Amari Valley and leads them to the beach of Agia Galini. At a secret location between the settlements Agia Paraskevi, Vyzari, and Petrohori, the wide river gets narrow and forms two impressive ravines. The first is the small Mesa Faragi (inner gorge), reminding of the gorge of Kourtaliotis.

Agia Fotia is located 7km east of Sitia and 76km east of Agios Nikolaos, on the road to Vai. It takes its name after the church of Agia Fotini. In front of the village of the region stretches a long beach with rocks and sand that has attracted several hotels recently. The secluded beaches of Agia Fotia is prone to north winds and you’ll rarely find it peaceful.
