Η Αγία Πελαγία από ένα μικρό και γραφικό ψαροχώρι των κατοίκων της Αχλάδας στις αρχές του αιώνα, έχει εξελιχθεί σε ένα πολύ δημοφιλές τουριστικό θέρετρο παρέχοντας κάθε άνεση και συνδέεται με τακτικά δρομολόγια με το Ηράκλειο.
