Η παραλία του Κουρεμένου είναι η μεγαλύτερη της περιοχής με μήκος που ξεπερνάει το 1,5 χλμ και οριοθετείται στα βόρεια από το Ακρωτήριο Τέντα και στα νότια από το λόφο Καστρί. Έχει ψιλή καφετιά άμμο, ρηχά καταγάλανα νερά και πολλά αλμυρίκια.
Elounda is located 10km north of Agios Nikolaos, near the northwest side of the Bay of Mirabello. It is famous for its expensive and luxurious hotels that host celebrities from all over the world. Apart from its glamorous character, Elounda has to offer visitors some of the most beautiful landscapes in Crete. These landscapes are highly dominated by the majestic small beaches of Elounda.
Το δάσος του Σελάκανου βρίσκεται 35 χλμ βορειοδυτικά της Ιεράπετρας, νότια της κορυφής Αφέντης Χριστός (2148μ.) του Όρους Δίκτη. Η πρόσβαση στην περιοχή γίνεται με ασφαλτοστρωμένη οδό μέσα από μια μαγευτική διαδρομή μέχρι τον οικισμό Σελάκανο, μέσω της Ιεράπετρας ή της Καλαμαύκας, ενώ στο δάσος υπάρχει και μεγάλο δίκτυο δασικών δρόμων για περιπάτους.
Το Φουρνί είναι ένας μεγάλος κατάφυτος λόφος κοντά στις γραφικές Αρχάνες, περίπου 12km νότια του Ηρακλείου. Παίρνει το όνομα του από το ομώνυμο προμινωϊκό νεκροταφείο που βρίσκεται εδώ, δίπλα στο Κνωσσανό φαράγγι. Η πρόσβαση γίνεται μέσα από τις Κάτω Αρχάνες, όπου υπάρχουν πινακίδες.
It is a rocky beach with deep-blue deep waters. There is a small harbor with a dock, from which swimmers usually dive in the crystal waters. Next to the harbor there is only one tavern, very famous for its fish dishes. The coast is not organized and is too far from accommodation choices. The sea around Omprosgialos is ideal for snorkelers.
In front of the village lies a quiet beach with coarse gray sand and beautiful crystal clear waters. The village is not well developed and still retains the unique Cretan authenticity. You will find only 2-3 taverns and very few rooms. The beach has no umbrellas, but there are some tamarisk trees in front on the settlement offering natural shade.
At the exit of the river that runs in the canyon of Rodakino, 2km south of the village, there are many beautiful and tranquil beaches. To visit them you should take the road that leads to Korakas. Despite the fact that it has a great beachfront, Rodakino is not highly developed and still retains its traditional character and harmony.
Η Σούδα βρίσκεται στην έξοδο μιας μικρής καταπράσινης κοιλάδας που διαρρέει ο ποταμός Φοίνικας, ο οποίος τρέχει νερό όλο το χρόνο. Κατά μήκος του ποταμού, αλλά και σε πολλά σημεία της περιοχής υπάρχουν μεγάλες συστάδες του αυτοφυούς Κρητικού φοίνικα του Θεόφραστου, κάνοντας τη Σούδα ένα από τα σημαντικότερα φυσικά καταφύγια για το είδος.
