Το φαράγγι του Κουδουμά ή Κόφινα ξεκινάει σε υψόμετρο περίπου 1000μ κοντά στη βάση της ψηλότερης κορυφής των Αστερουσίων, του Κόφινα και καταλήγει στην παραλία της Μονής Κουδουμά. Το αρχικό τμήμα του φαραγγιού απίστευτης ομορφιάς, που οι ντόπιοι ονομάζουν Καταρράκτη ή Καιάδα, είναι τεχνικό με 22 καταβάσεις, με τη μεγαλύτερη στα 50 μέτρα.

The Limnakaro Plateau lies on the northern slopes of Mt Dicte, near the Lassithi Plateau, at an altitude of 1,120 metres above sea level. It is enclosed by the peaks of Lazaros (2,048 m) to the east-southeast, Strovili (1,533 m) to the west and Megali Korfi (1309 m) to the north.

Τα Περβόλια, τα Μισίρια και ο Πλατανιάς (ή Πλατανές) είναι 3 συνεχόμενα προάστια του Ρεθύμνου, που απέχουν 3-5 χλμ ανατολικά της πόλης, αντίστοιχα. Παλαιότερα αποτελούσαν ξεχωριστούς οικισμούς, οι οποίοι με την οικιστική ανάπτυξη ενσωματώθηκαν στον αστικό ιστό του Ρεθύμνου.

Mesonas gorge is located on the northern slopes of the mountains of Thripti, near villages Kavoussi and Avgos. It is a short imposing gorge (4km long), that needs technical equipment for crossing it along its bed. The canyon connects the Plateau of Thripti to the plain of Kavoussi.

Cape Sidero (Kavos Sidero) is located at the northeastern corner of Crete, 32km east of Sitia and 99km east of Agios Nikolaos, near the Naval Station of Kyriamadi. The surrounding area is characterized by a unique landscape of wild natural beauty. At the tip of the Cape and very close to the church of Agios Isidoros (Saint Isidore), stands the imposing building of the lighthouse, 15m high, which still works.

When in Chania not forget to visit the docks of the Venetian harbor (Museum of Ancient and Traditional Shipbuilding) the representation of the Minoan ship "Minoa" of 16th-15th century BC that was launched in December 2003 and in 2004 made its maiden trip from Chania to Piraeus

Crete hosts an extremely rare and endemic variety of plane trees (Platanus orientalis var. Cretica) with about 50 trees being reported throughout the island. The characteristic feature of this variety is that it is evergreen, unlike the common deciduous plane trees.

The canyon Kakoperatos is located by Agios Vasilios village at the province of Agios Vasilios. It’s a tributary of the Megalos River (Kourtaliotis) and as its name suggests (bad passage in Greek) it cannot be accessed from humans (by trekking).
