Several towers were built in other areas of the prefecture of Heraklion. In Panasos, in the Turkish neighborhood located 500m southeast of the village, there was a tower, which was used by the Turks during the great revolution of 1821.
The Monastery of Christ the Savior or fendis Christos served as a Venetian monastery and was well known to all travelers coming to Jiouktas, to see the place where the ancients placed the tomb of Zeus.
Ο ναός του Αγίου Γεωργίου της Φαλάνδρας ή Φλάνδρας βρίσκεται κοντά στη Φαιστό και ήταν καθολικό μικρής μονής. Δίπλα στο ναό σώζονται τάφοι της Ενετοκρατίας (με επιγραφή του 1581).
Ο πρασινόφρυνος (επιστ. Pseudepidalea viridis ή Bufo shaartusiensis ή Bufo sitibundus ή Bufo viridis ή Rana picta) είναι ένα διαδεδομένο είδος φρύνου της Ευρώπης, το οποίο απαντάται και στην Κρήτη. Η διαφορά των φρύνων και των βατράχων είναι ότι το δέρμα τοων φρύνων είναι αδρό και ξηρό, ενώ των βατράχων λείο και υγρό.
Στο Γερόκαμπο (Ιερός Κάμπος) δυτικά του Λέντα εντοπίστηκαν το 1959 τρεις θολωτοί τάφοι, με τον μεγαλύτερο (διαμέτρου 5.10m) συλημένο και άδειο. Μπροστά στην είσοδο υπήρχε προθάλαμος γεμάτος οστά ανθρώπων και ζώων, κάρβουνα και κύπελλα. Σε δεύτερο τάφο βρέθηκαν ειδώλια, ξιφίδια, αγγεία, σφραγίδες και χάντρες.
The church of Agia Paraskevi is a dependency of Asomati monastery. It is small cruciform church with a reserved arcosolium (tomb) and only one mural surviving. The frescoes depicts Christ blessing the donors of the temple.
The temple of Saint John Theologian and St Nicholas is built at the entrance of the village of Stylos. This is a complex of three buildings, dating from the 13-15th century and preserving a fragmentary mural decoration of the 13th, 14th and 15th century.
Ο πανέμορφος ναός της Παναγίας Κεράς στο Αμάρι είναι κρυμμένος ανάμεσα σε ελαιώνες της περιοχής. Ο τρίκλιτος ναός του 15ου αιώνα είναι κτισμένος στη θέση κατεστραμμένου σταυροειδούς ναού με τρούλο του 13ου αιώνα, που με τη σειρά του πιστεύεται ότι ήταν κτισμένος στη θέση ναού του Απόλλωνα.
