Ο ναός της Παναγίας Φανερωμένης στην Επισκοπή Πεδιάδος, δίπλα στο ναό της Αγίας Παρασκευής, είναι δίκλιτη καμαροσκέπαστη βασιλική με τα κλίτη του αφιερωμένα στα Εισόδια της Θεοτόκου και στους Αγίους Πάντες. Ο ναός ήταν ο κεντρικός του χωριού, όταν καταστράφηκε ο επισκοπικός ναός της Μεγάλης Παναγίας.
Το μικρό Βλέρωμα με τον προστάτη του τον Άη Γιάννη που ακόμα στέκει στην άκρη του σε αντίθεση με τα σπίτια του. Περπατώντας ανάμεσα στα σοκάκια του και στα χαλάσματα κάθε φορά ερχότανε στο μυαλό μου όλο και πιο έντονα η κουβέντα του φίλου μου Γιώργη Σταματάκη για όλα αυτά τα άγνωστα διαμάντια που κρύβουν οι Μέσες του Ηρακλείου: Αρχιτεκτονική του Φόβου.
Ο ναός του Αγίου Γεωργίου Κλειδά βρίσκεται σε μια όμορφη τοποθεσία κοντά στο Καταλαγάρι και ήταν καθολικό μικρού μοναστηριού που λειτούργησε κατά την Ενετοκρατία, πιθανώς ως μετόχι της μεγαλύτερης μονής. Το όνομα Κλειδάς πιθανώς προέρχεται από το επίθετο του κτήτορα ή του ιδιοκτήτη της γης.
The beautiful beach of Skotini is located at the Cape Sideris, between Ravdoucha and Agios Vasilios, just before Panagia Myrtidiotissa at Choni, at the exit of a small and quite steep gorge. You can reach the beach by walking the impressive path that starts from the area of Saint Marina.
Giorgakis is one of the many beaches in Ferma area, formed below very steep cliffs, but it can be accessed by stairs. The short descent leads to one of the most beautiful beaches of East Crete, with fine pebbles and rocks that form caves.
The church of Saint John Rigologos (Saint John the Forerunner) is located at an elevated position wooded with cypress, plane and pine trees, south of Archanes. The church has been built under a rock shelter and the surrounding place is perfect for a picnic and hiking from Archanes.

Nowhere in the Cretan coastline one meets so many German pillboxes than the seafront of Ierapetra. The pillboxes are made of concrete and are reminiscent of igloos with openings for machine guns. Even within the Ierapetra city we still meet pillboxes, all remnants of the German presence during the Second World War. One of the German pillboexs surviving in perfect condition is the one on the east side of the town in the area called Tziveri Limni.
