Το φαράγγι του Χαυγά βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά στο χωριό Καλαμαύκα, σε απόσταση 12km από την πόλη της Ιεράπετρας. Με το ίδιο όνομα υπάρχουν κι άλλα φαράγγια στην Κρήτη, όπως το φαράγγι του Χαυγά στο Οροπέδιο Λασιθίου.
Το Οροπέδιο της Ανώπολης βρίσκεται στην περιοχή των Σφακίων και πιο συγκεκριμένα 13km δυτικά της Χώρας Σφακίων. Είναι ένα μικρό οροπέδιο που σχηματίζεται μέσα στα άγρια βουνά των Σφακίων, μέσα στην πιο δύσβατη επαρχία της Ευρώπης. Το οροπέδιο είναι πολύ εύφορο και εξακολουθεί να τρέφει τους κατοίκους του κεφαλοχωρίου της Ανώπολης, που βρίσκεται εδώ. Οι κάτοικοι ασχολούνται κυρίως με την κτηνοτροφία.
The cat snake (scient. Telescopus fallax) is the only snake in Crete with venom. However, the poison is too weak to hurt humans and is excreted in the back of its mouth, making it actually harmless. The snake feeds on small lizards and uses the poison for relaxing their bodies.

Τα ερείπια της αρχαίας Λατούς βρίσκονται περίπου 3km βόρεια της Κριτσάς, διάσπαρτα σε ένα διάσελο που ενώνει δύο λόφους σε υψόμετρο περίπου 380m. Η τοποθεσία αυτή έχει εκπληκτική θέα στον κόλπο του Μιραμπέλου.
Livari is located 90km southeast of Agios Nikolaos and 7km east of Goudouras, in one of the most remote areas of Crete where you can be truly alone. 2km east is the large power plant of Atherinolakkos, which is the only drawback in the landscape.
Chrysopigi monastery is located 3km south of Chania city. Its temple belongs to the architecture Mount Athos triconch with dome and is dedicated to the Panagia Zoodochos Pigi (Live Giving Virgin Mary) (celebr. on Friday after Easter). Thousands of believers arrive here to honor the miraculous icon of Virgin Mary.
The beach, which is in one of the most isolated areas of the island, has beautiful pebbles and is surrounded by tall vertical cliffs. The beach is mainly accessed by boat, but you could also trek from Agios Nikitas. The surrounding area is ideal for fishing. Moreover, if you come by boat, do not forget to walk in the gorge and admire the rugged landscape, till the dead end with falls that get dry in summer.
