Chania School Life Museum

The Museum of School Life was founded in 2006 by the Prefecture of Chania and is housed in the old Primary School of Nerokourou village, 4 km south of the city of Chania.
The main purpose of the Museum of School Life is to enlighten the educational and school past in all periods of Cretan history, the scientific analysis, recording and preservation, and its connection to the educational reality of today and tomorrow. The main recipients are the students and the teachers.
The first exhibition of the school, which started in 2006, was entitled "Come to enliven the wooden desks". Thousands of children and seniors who want to remember their school years, have visited the place.
