Agia Marina beach

Agia Marina is located 47km southwest of Rethymno and 84km south of Chania, in a secluded area located between Fragokastelo and Rodakino village. It’s located 2km south of the village Argoules. The beach has sand and fine pebbles, while in several places there are rocks, making it perfect for spear fishing and snorkeling. It is completely unorganized, so make sure that you have anything you need with you. There are some small canteens located in the neighboring Peristeres beach (3-5' minutes walking distance to the east). The huge carob trees make it ideal for shade (when no winds blow).

To get to Agia Marina, you should follow the dirt road linking the village Skaloti (or Lakki beach) with Polirizos beach. Some meters before Polyrizos, you should drive to the beach of Peristeres and then drive in the seaside dirt track till you meet Agia Marina. This same dirt road road continues to Lakki beach.

The beach gets its name from the homonym chapel of Agia Marina, located on the beach. Moreover, there is a small river emptying there all year round, which brings water from White Mountains through the small gorge Argoule.
