(11 votes)

Argirakis War and Ethnological Museum houses since 1994 a very important war collection of its founder, Michael Argyrakis, and is housed at Episkopi village, province Pediada. You’ll see family relics, military equipment from the World War II, photographs and documents, and numerous folklore objects.

Among the exhibits are a car that killed Alekos Panagoulis, the car with which the legendary German Major General Heinrich Kraipe was kidnapped and the compass of the helicopter that crashed in Imia in 1996. After the death of the museum's founder in 2011, the museum remains generally closed and can be visited after contacting its managers.
