A very special Minoan farmhouse of elliptical (oval) shape has been identified at position Souvloto Mouri, near the village Chamezi in province Sitia. The farmhouse was excavated in 1902 by the archaeological team of Stephanos Xanthoudidis and its shape has been studied by archaeologists.

It is believed that the structure follows the shape of the hill and there was exterior wall for defensive purposes. It might was a domestic sanctuary, which later was extended with some cottages. The findings included several bronze objects, ax, chisel, clay figurines, clay altar, pots, utensils, etc.

At the Linares site, a Minoan tomb with bones and an ivory seal was found, while at position Fatsis a cluster of protogeometric tombs was found.
