Gylisma Beach

Gylisma (or Kambos) stony beach is located 69km southwest of Chania city and 29km south of Kissamos, close to Kambos village. The beach is also known as Afratolaki. The beach has coarse pebbles and is not ideal for swimming, especially for families on windy days due to high waves. This is mainly preferred by the residents of Kambos in windless days.

Afratolakki is a good choice for those that want to stay remote. There are some very basic facilities on the beach (for accommodation and food), but there are no umbrellas and sunbeds.

Afratolakki rocky seabed is ideal for snorkeling. If you want to reach the beach, you have to drive 4.5km in a poor conditioned dirt track, leading to the beach from Kambos village.
