The tower of Zou
Zou is a small green village located 7km south of Sitia. Its name probably derives from the Turkish word su, which means water, as water abounds here, flowing from the famous spring of Zou.
The village is known for the Minoan ruins of a villa next to it. In the middle of the village, there was built a small Venetian tower, which is still in good condition. The tower is used even today as a home.
