The two Venetian forts of Thodorou islet
The two forts on the small island of St. Theodore, known as Thodorou, are known for the the most heroic act of the Cretan War, taking place on June 24, 1645. The Venetians, besieged by the Turks, blew up the powder armory, and had a heroic death.
