Kamboula beach
Kamboula is located 65km southeast of Heraklion and 6km east of Tsoutsouras. It's a secluded beach starting on the east just after the stunning beach of Listis. On the other side, the west part of Larinaki is bounded by the delta of River Anapodaris, which gives the impression that carries the water upside down, from sea to land and is one of the most important Cretan wetlands.
The long beach Kamboula is very beautiful, with lovely pebbles and crystal blue waters. This area is no organized, however a very few rooms and apartmenrs have been built in the last years. It is a fantastic choice for those who want to stay remote (i.e. nudists). The wider area is dry and warm, despite the fact that Anapodaris has water all year round. In many parts of the beach there are small tamarisk trees, where you can find shade. Access to the beach is very easy, because the road that connects Kastri and Tsoutsouras runs aside.
